3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
4 MASTER SERVICES CONTRACT SCHEDULE A INTRASTATE
TRANSMISSION SERVICE BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF
5 VERNON AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY

7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
8 Resolution No. 6257 on May 18, 1993, which approved a Pro Forma Master
9 Services Contract with Southern California Gas Company ("SoCalGas");
10 and
11 WHEREAS, Schedule A, a service schedule incorporated as part
12 of the Pro Forma Master Service Contract, providing intrastate
13 transportation services, dated as of August 1, 1993, was executed on
14 May 13, 1993, by Kenneth J. DeDario, Director of Light and Power,
15 pursuant to Resolution No. 5958 in order to meet a deadline of the
16 California Public Utilities Department; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
18 Resolution No. 6639 on June 6, 1995, which approved a supplement to
19 Schedule A to the Master Services Contract for Intrastate Transmission
20 Service to extend the term of the Agreement for an additional two (2)
21 years ending August 1, 1997; and
22 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
23 Resolution No. 6993 on July 15, 1997, which approved a supplement to
24 Schedule A to the Master Services Contract for Intrastate Transmission
25 Service to extend the term of the Agreement for an additional two (2)
26 years ending August 1, 1999; and
27 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and SoCalGas desire to extend the
28 term of its Master Services Contract Schedule A for Intrastate
I Transmission Service on a month -to -month basis unless terminated by
2 written notice from one party to the other given not less than twenty
3 (20) days prior to the last day of the initial term of any month
4 thereafter.
5 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
6 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
8 hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove are
9 true and correct.
10 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
11 approves the Master Services Contract Schedule A Intrastate
12 Transmission Service, the original of which has been presented to the
13 City Council concurrently with this resolution, and the City Council
14 hereby orders said Master Services Contract Schedule A to be received
15 and filed by the City Clerk.
16 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
17 authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said Master
18 Services Contract Schedule A for, and on behalf of, the City of
19 Vernon.
20 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
21 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
22 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
23 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July, 1999.
