A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING HILARIO GONZALES AND WILLIAM
DAVIS TO SERVE AS ALTERNATE COMMISSIONERS ON THE
POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSIONS
WHEREAS, during the adjourned regular City Council meeting
of April 28, 1998, Mayor Malburg appointed himself and Councilmen
Ybarra and McCormick to serve on the Police and Fire Commissions; and
WHEREAS, by letter dated September 2, 1999, Bruce V.
Malkenhorst, the City Administrator/City Clerk, has recommended the
appointment of alternates to the Police and Fire Commissions to serve
in the absence of any of the Commissioners, as necessary, effective
August 17, 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Councilmen Hilario Gonzales and William Davis, effective
August 17, 1999, to serve as alternate Commissioners on the Police
and Fire Commissions in the absence of any Commissioner, as
necessary.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1999.
