RESOLUTION NO. 7413
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
EQUIPMENT PURCHASE CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY
OF VERNON AND RFL ELECTRONICS, INC. FOR SEVEN (7)
MULTIPLEXERS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7390 adopted on August 3,
1999, the City Council of the City of Vernon ratified the issuance of
a purchase order for seven "intelligent multiplexers" for the
Utilities Department from RFL Electronics, Inc. and directed the
Purchasing Department to negotiate a contract for said purchase and to
report back to the City Council on the results of said contract
negotiations with a recommendation for action; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has entered into and
completed negotiations with RFL Electronics, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
enter into a contract with RFL Electronics, Inc. for the purchase of
seven (7) "intelligent multiplexers" required by the Utilities
Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves the Equipment Purchase Contract for the purchase of seven (7)
"intelligent multiplexers" between the City of Vernon and RFL

Electronics, Inc., a copy of which has been presented to the City
Council concurrently with this resolution, and the City Council hereby
orders said Contract to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said Contract for,
and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
