A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "B," PAGES 4
AND 14 OF RESOLUTION NO. 7359, WHICH FIXED THE
4 COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND
AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

6 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7359 was adopted by the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon on June 29, 1999, to be effective on July 1,
8 1999; and
9
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on September 14, 1999,
10
recommended to the City Council that modifications to the Energy
11
12 Management Representative classification and salary scale be approved
13 and the Energy Management Representative (Trainee) position be
14 eliminated; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
16 amend page 4 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 7359 to
17
eliminate the position of Energy Management Representative (Trainee)
18
in the Utilities Department and to add another step to the position of
19
20 Energy Management Representative in the Utilities Department; and
21 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
22 amend page 14 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 7359-to
23 add a step to the position of Purchasing Assistant in the City
24 Administrator/City Clerk Department.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
26
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

28 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
1 hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove are
2 true and correct.
3 SECTION 2: Effective September 26, 1999, Schedule II,
4
Exhibit "B," page 4 of Resolution No. 7359 is hereby amended to
5
eliminate the position of Energy Management Representative (Trainee)
6
7 and establish a new step for the position of Energy Management
8 Representative in the Utilities Department as indicated on the amended
9 page 4 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B," which is attached hereto as
10 Attachment A and made a part hereof.
11 SECTION_a: Effective September 26, 1999, Schedule II,
12
Exhibit "B" of Resolution 7359 is hereby amended to establish a new
13
step for the position of Purchasing Assistant in the City
14
15 Administrator/City Clerk Department as indicated on the amended
16 Schedule II, Exhibit "B," which is attached hereto as Attachment B and
17 made a part hereof.
18 SECTION 4: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 7359 and 7400
19 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
20
repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No. 7359, as amended by
21
Resolution No. 7400, shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

2 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter
3 the same shall be in full force and effect.
