RESOLUTION NO. 7418
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF VERNON AND SERGIO R. VALENZUELA FOR THE
PREPARATION OF A STUDY RELATING TO THE CITY'S
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to retain the services of
a consultant to provide assistance and consultation in connection with
issues concerning the preparation of a study plan respecting the
City's Management Information Services; and
WHEREAS, Sergio R. Valenzuela is well qualified by reason of
his education and experience to prepare said study for the City; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on September 14, 1999,
recommended to the City Council the retention of Sergio R. Valenzuela
for consulting services relating to the City's Management Information
Services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and Sergio R. Valenzuela wish to
enter into an Agreement for Contractual Services setting forth the
terms and conditions of the services to be performed for a period of
three (3) months, from October 1, 1999 to December 31, 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves the Agreement for Contractual Services with Sergio R.
Valenzuela, a copy of which has been presented to the City Council

concurrently with this resolution, and the City Council hereby orders
said Agreement to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said Agreement for,
and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
