A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING A LOT LINE
ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED BY HAMPTON PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, Hampton Properties is the owner of two
adjoining parcels of land located at 2520 Chambers Street and
646 Hampton Street (parcels 1 and 2) in the City of Vernon,
11 as described and shown on the attached Exhibit "A"
sisting of two (2) pages which are incorporated herein by
his reference as though fully set forth at length; and
WHEREAS, Hampton Properties desires to adjust the
ommon boundaries between the two parcels whereby said
djustment will create two new properties as described and
shown on the attached Exhibit "B" consisting of three (3) pages
which are incorporated herein by this reference as though fully
et forth at length; and
WHEREAS, Hampton Properties has applied for a Lot
ine Adjustment pursuant to Government Code Section 66412(d),
hich provides that the Subdivision Map Act does not apply to
the following:
(d) A lot line adjustment between two or
more existing adjacent parcels, where the land taken
from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel, and
where a greater number of parcels than originally
existed is not thereby created, provided the lot line
adjustment is approved by the local agency, or
advisory agency...."

WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community
Services & Water, has recommended that said Lot Line Adjustment
e approved; and
WHEREAS, the parcels resulting from the Lot Line
djustment will conform to the zoning and building ordinances
f the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
HE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
ereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment
dated November 16, 1999, to adjust the common boundaries of the
two existing properties being described in the attached Exhibit
"A" whereby said adjustment will create two new properties as
described in the attached Exhibit "B" is hereby approved in
accordance with the recommendation of Samuel Kevin Wilson,
Director of Community Services & Water.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
hall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of December, 1999.

Dear Mr. Maier:
On or about October 14, 2010 the City received a letter regarding your Annual Property Tax Bill for
Fiscal Year July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 for Assessor's Parcel Number 6308-009-038. This parcel is located
at 4646 Hampton Street.
Your claim of overpayment is based on the contention that the amount of the tax has been calculated
incorrectly. The City has completed its investigation of your claim and accepts your claim. The City has
determined that none of the parcel is subject to the Special Parcel Tax. Therefore, the corrected amount for
the Special Parcel Tax is $0.00.
Enclosed is a copy of the Current Year Direct Assessment Correction Form sent to the Los Angeles
County Auditor -Controller's office amending the assessment for the Special Parcel Tax.

We are in receipt of the 2010/2011 Los Angeles County Annual Property Tax Bill for the above
referenced location. The tax bill reflects a Special Vernon Parcel Tax. Discotecas Linda; LLC, who
occupied the premises, vacated when their lease expired on May 31, 2010. The new tenant,
Millenium Products Inc., whose lease started on July 1, 2010, manufactures health drinks.
Based on the above information, we should not be assessed the Special Vernon Parcel Tax. A

4.0 DA Public Utility And Check Digit Procedures
4.2 CHECK DIGIT ALGORITHM CALCULATION PROCEDURE
The Check Digit is a form of parcel number validation. The calculated check digit
number is arrived at by using the following algorithm:
