Resolution No. 74581' RES,Q►LUTION KO E' 7458 2 A'RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 VERNON AMENDING SECTION 27, SUBSECTION (e) OF 4 RESOLUTION NO. 7359 WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED 5 CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES 6 7 -WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7359 was adopted by the City Council 8 of the City of Vernon on June 29, 1999,,to be effective on July 1, 9 1999; and 10 WHEREAS, the City Council ;of the City of Vernon his 11 considered the performance of the City Administrator/City Clerk for 12 the purposes of considering _a merit increase; and 13 WHEREAS, the City 'Council of the City of Vernon has 14 determined that modifications to the benefits of the City 15 Administrator/City Clerk in the CityAdministrator/City Clerk 16 Department are warranted and intends to provide for additional 17 benefits as set forth herein for said position. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 19 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: 20 5ECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby` 21 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true 22 and correct. 23 SECTION 2 Effective November 21, 1999, Section 27, 24 subsection (e)(1) of,Resolution No. 7359 shall be amended to read as 25 follows 26 (e) (1) Medical, and Dental Expenses. one hundred 27 percent (100t) of all medical and dental expenses to be paid by the 28 City after insurance has paid. In addition,; upon retirement and with I at least twenty-five (25) years of continuous uninterrupted service, 2 (i) the City will pay the insurance premium for the City's medical and 3 dental insurance program for both the City Administrator/City Clerk as 4 well as his spouse and (ii) the City will continue to pay one hundred 5 percent (100%) of all medical and dental expenses after insurance has 6 paid. 7 SECTION 3: Effective November 21, 1999, Section 27, 8 subsections (e) (3) and (e) (7) of Resolution No. 7359 shall be modified 9 as follows 10 (e)(3) Executive Leave: Add an additional two (2) days of 11 executive leave. 12 (e) (7) vacation: Add an additional two - (2) days of ` vacation. 13 SECTION 4:The provisions of Resolution Nos. 7359, 7400, 14 7416, 7425 and 7458 not consistent with or in conflict with this 15 resolution are hereby repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No. 16 7359, as amended by Resolution Nos. 7400,, 7416, 7425, and 7458 shall 17 remain in full "force and effect-. 18 _SEAT .ON 5 The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall 19 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and - 20 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. 211 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21't day of December, 1999. 22 23` LEONIS C.
