A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
VEHICLE PURCHASE CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF
4 VERNON AND SAULSBURY FIRE RESCUE, INC. FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ONE URBAN SEARCH AND RESCUE VEHICLE

6 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7446 adopted on
7 November 23, 1999, the City Council of the City of Vernon directed the
8 Purchasing Department to negotiate a contract for the purchase of one
9 Urban Search and Rescue Vehicle and to report back to the City Council
10 on the results of said contract negotiations with a recommendation for
11 action; and
12 WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has entered into and
13 completed negotiations with Saulsbury Fire Rescue, Inc.; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
15 enter into a contract with Saulsbury Fire Rescue, Inc. for the
16 purchase of one Urban Search and Rescue Vehicle required by the Fire
17 Department.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
19 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
20 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
21 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
22 and correct.
23 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
24 approves the Vehicle Purchase Contract, a copy of which has been
25 presented to the City Council concurrently with this resolution, and
26 the City Council hereby orders said Contract to be received and filed
27 by the City Clerk.
28 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said Contract for,
and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
