RESOLUTION NO. 7466
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
EQUIPMENT ORDER AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF
VERNON AND ACCURATE TELECOM INC. FOR THE PURCHASE
AND INSTALLATION OF TELEPHONE CABLING SYSTEM AND THE
TESTING OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FOR THE
ANNEXATION AND REMODELING PROJECT AT VERNON CITY
HALL
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7428 adopted on
October 19, 1999, the City Council of the City of Vernon directed the
Purchasing Department to negotiate a contract with Accurate Telecom
Inc. for the purchase and installation of telephone cabling system and
the testing of the telecommunications system for the annexation and
remodeling project at Vernon City Hall and to report back to the City
Council on the results of said contract negotiations with a
recommendation for action; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has entered into and
completed negotiations with Accurate Telecom Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
enter into a contract with Accurate Telecom Inc. for the purchase and
installation of telephone cabling system and the testing of the
telecommunications system for the annexation and remodeling project at
Vernon City Hall required by the Utilities Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

approves the Equipment Order Agreement, a copy of which has been
presented to the City Council concurrently with this resolution, and
the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received and filed
by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said Agreement for,
and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
