Resolution No. 75591 RESOLUTION NO. 7559 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 VERNON REAFFIRMING THE AMENDMENT OF RESOLUTION NO. 5950 WHICH ADOPTED A PERFECT ATTENDANCE INCENTIVE 4 PROGRAM 5 6 WHEREAS, on July 2, 1991, the City Council of the City of 7 Vernon adopted Resolution No. 5950 establishing a Perfect Attendance 8 Incentive Program; and 9 WHEREAS, Resolution Nos. 5979, 6369, 7060 and 7101 adopted 10 on August 20, 1991, December 21, 1993, December 16, 1997 and June 2, 11 1998, respectively, amended Resolution No. 5950; and 12 WHEREAS, by Salary Resolution No. 7165 adopted on June 25, 13 1998 and Salary Resolution No. 7359 adopted on June 29, 1999, the City 14 Council of the City of Vernon amended the Perfect Attendance Incentive 15 Program adopted by Resolution No. 5950 by adding a new Section 6 and 16 WHEREAS, the City Clerk has recommended that the amendment 17 to Resolution No. 5950 contained in Salary Resolution Nos. 7165 and 18 7359 be reaffirmed in a separate resolution for purposes of clarity; 19 and 20 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to 21 reaffirm the amendment to Resolution No. 5950 contained in Resolution 22 Nos. 7165 and 7359. 23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 24 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: 25 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby 26 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true 27 and correct. 28 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8'' 91I 10 111I 12, 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 reaffirms its amendment of the Perfect Attendance Incentive Program adopted by Resolution No. 5950 to read as follows: "SECTION 6: Employees entitled to select an award from a Robbins Company brochure, in lieu of selecting that award, are permitted to apply the equivalent cost of the award toward the City's deferred compensation program, subject to the following conditions: A. All deferred compensation arrangements paid for by the City shall be consistent with the provisions of the City's deferred compensation program. B. The equivalent cost of a Robbins Company award shall be the average cost to the City of awards in all Robbins Company brochures from which an employee is entitled to make a selection based upon number of years of perfect attendance. The cost to the City shall be determined by the most current price list published by the Robbins Company.
