RESOLUTION NO. 7607
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6048 WHICH SET THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF COMMITTEES
AND COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 2.5-4 and 2.5-5 of the
Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and place of
regular meetings of committees or commissions of the City of Vernon
shall be established by resolution; and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1992, the City Council of the City
of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 6048 which set the time and place for
regular meetings of committees and commissions of the City of Vernon;
and
WHEREAS, on August 5, 1997, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 7001 which amended Resolution No. 6048 to
provide for meeting changes respecting the Personnel Committee and the
Finance Committee of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
amend Resolution No. 6048 to change the time of regular meetings of the
Finance Committee of the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: Effective August 22, 2000, the City Council of
the City of Vernon hereby amends Section 5 of Resolution No. 6048 as
follows:

SECTION 5: Finance Committee. The regular
meetings of the Finance Committee of the City of
Vernon shall be held in the City Council Chamber at
the above -described location on the second (2nd)
and fourth (4th) Tuesday of each month at the hour
of 4:30 p.m. If said regular meeting is scheduled
on a recognized holiday, said meeting shall then
take place on the next day thereafter, at the same
time and place.
SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6048, as
amended by Resolution No. 7001, shall remain in full force and effect,
and the provisions of said resolution not consistent with or in
conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
