RESOLUTION NO. 7620
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING A LOT LINE
ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED BY PENSKE TRUCK
LEASING, VERNON 2288 LLC AND HUNG YUAN YANG
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 7541
WHEREAS, on June 6, 2000, the City of Vernon City
Council approved and adopted Resolution No. 7541, in which a
Lot Line Adjustment requested by Penske Truck Leasing, Vernon
2288 LLC and Hung Yuan Ying was approved; and
WHEREAS, both written legal descriptions and maps of
the three existing parcel lines and proposed parcel lines were
attached to Resolution No. 7541; and
WHEREAS, it now appears that the written legal
scriptions are not consistent with the descriptions of the
rcels in the maps and are incomplete; and
WHEREAS, the parties to the Lot Line Adjustment
esire to correct the written descriptions to conform with the
ps attached to Resolution No. 7541; and
WHEREAS; the parties to the Lot Line Adjustment
equest that Resolution No. 7541 be rescinded and a new
esolution be adopted to correct the written descriptions; and
WHEREAS, the corrections to the written descriptions
re the only changes being made to Resolution No. 7541 and the
ctual substance of the Lot Line Adjustment remains unchanged
rom that approved in Resolution No. 7541; and
WHEREAS, Penske Truck Leasing, Vernon 2288 LLC and
ung Yuan Yang are the owners of three adjoining parcels of
1 land located at 2727 Santa Fe Avenue, 2288 27th Street and 2701
2 Santa Fe Avenue (parcels 1, 2 and 3 respectively) in the City
3 of Vernon, all as described shown on the attached Exhibit "A"
4 consisting of four (4) pages which are incorporated herein by
5 this reference as though fully set forth at length; and
6 WHEREAS, Penske Truck Leasing, Vernon 2288 LLC and
7 Hung Yuan Yang desire to adjust the common boundaries between
8 the three parcels whereby said adjustment will create three new
9 properties as described and shown on the attached Exhibit "B"
10
consisting of four (4) pages which are incorporated herein by
11
this reference as though fully set forth at length; and
12
13 WHEREAS, Penske Truck Leasing, Vernon 2288 LLC and
14 Hung Yuan Yang have applied for a Lot Line Adjustment pursuant
15 o Government Code Section 66412(d), which provides that the
16 Subdivision Map Act does not apply to the following;
17 (d) A Lot Line Adjustment between two or
18 more existing adjacent parcels, where the land taken
19 from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel, and
20 where a greater number of parcels than originally
21 existed is not thereby created, provided the Lot Line

Adjustment is approved by the local agency, or
advisory agency...."
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community
ervices & Water, has recommended that said Lot Line Adjustment
approved; and

WHEREAS, the parcels resulting from the Lot Line
Adjustment will conform to the zoning and building ordinances
of the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby rescinds Resolution No. 7541.
SECTION 3: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment
ated February 14, 2000, to adjust the common boundaries of the
hree existing properties being described in the attached
xhibit "A" whereby said adjustment will create three new
roperties as described in the attached Exhibit "B" is hereby
pproved in accordance with the recommendation of Samuel Kevin
ilson, Director of Community Services & Water.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
hall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September, 2000.

On June 6, 2000, the City Council approved and adopted Resolution No.
7541 for a lot line adjustment requested by Penske Truck Leasing,
Vernon 2288 LLC, and Hung Yuan Yang. However, it has been discovered
that Resolution No. 7541 contains discrepancies in legal descriptions.
In order to correct such legal discrepancies it is hereby recommended
that Resolution No. 7541 be rescinded and a resolution be adopted
authorizing said changes.

On June 6, 2000 City Council approved and adopted Resolution
No. 7541 for a lot line adjustment requested by Penske Truck
Leasing, Vernon 2288 LLC and Hung Yuan Yang. Since then it has
been discovered to contain discrepancies in the legal
descriptions.
Submitted herewith are the proper legal descriptions and it
is hereby recommended that Resolution No. 7541 be rescinded in
order to correct the discrepancies and a resolution be adopted

the owners of three adjoining parcels of land located at 2727
Santa`Fe`Avenue, 2288 E. 27`h Street and 2701 Santa Fe Avenue in
the City. of Vernon_,
They have requested an adjustment of the boundary lines
between the parcels. The boundary line adjustment will result in
aportion 'of `land being transferred from parcel 2 to parcel 1 and
a portion of.land being transferred from parcel 3 to parcel 2.
It is recommended that the requested lot line adjustment be
granted."',
