RESOLUTION NO. 7861
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF SIALIC CONTRACTORS
CORPORATION DBA SHAWNAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 557 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Sialic Contractors Corporation DBA Shawnan
was awarded Contract No. 557 for work on Alameda Street Property
Improvements pursuant to Resolution No. 7745 of the City of
Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community
Services and Water has reported to the City Council of the City
of Vernon on October 31, 2001 that said work has been completed
and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to
the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The work of Sialic Contractors
Corporation DBA Shawnan pursuant to Contract No. 557 is hereby
approved and accepted by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total contract amount is Ninety One
Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and no cents ($91,250.00).
Therefore, of the funds due to Sialic Contractors Corporation
DBA Shawnan Eighty Two Thousand One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars
and no cents ($82,125.00) is now due. The remaining ten percent',
(100) or the sum of Nine Thousand One Hundred Twenty Five
Dollars and no cents ($9,125.00) is payable thirty-five days

after the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Sialic
Contractors Corporation DBA Shawnan and instructs the City Clerk
to file a notice of completion with the County Recorder.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
