RESOLUTION NO. 7869
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II (EXHIBIT "B") OF
RESOLUTION NO. 7796 WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION
FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN
EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2001, Resolution No. 7796 was adopted by
the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1, 2001;
and
WHEREAS, on November 27, 2001, the Finance Committee
recommended that the City Council amend the salary scale for the.
position of City Administrator/City Clerk effective October 1, 2001;
and
WHEREAS, page 12 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution
No. 7796 provides for the position and salary scale of the City
Administrator/City Clerk in the City Administrator/City Clerk
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
considered the performance of the City Administrator/City Clerk for the
purposes of considering a merit increase; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
amend page 12 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 7796 to
modify the salary scale for the position of City Administrator/City
Clerk in the City Administrator/City Clerk Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
1 SECTION 2: Effective October 1, 2001, page 12 of Schedule
2 II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 7796 is hereby amended to modify the
3 salary scale of the position of City Administrator/City Clerk in the
4 City Administrator/City Clerk Department, as indicated in Exhibit "A"
5 which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
6 SECTION 3: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 7796, 7819,
7 7826, 7828, 7852 and 7853 not consistent with or in conflict with this
8 resolution are hereby repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No.
9 7796, as amended by Resolution Nos. 7819, 7826, 7828, 7852 and 7853
10 shall remain in full force and effect.
11 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
12 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
13 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
14 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of November, 2001.
