RESOLUTION NO. 8161
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7682 WHICH SET THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF COMMITTEES
AND COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 2.5-4 and 2.5-5 of the
Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and place of
regular meetings of committees or commissions of the City of Vernon
shall be established by resolution; and
WHEREAS, on December 19, 2000, the City Council of the City
of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 7682 which set the time and place of
regular meetings of committees and commissions of the City of Vernon;
and
WHEREAS,. the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
amend Resolution No. 7682 to change the time of regular meetings of the
Personnel Committee of the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: Effective February 20, 2003, the City Council of
the City of Vernon hereby amends Section 5 of Resolution No. 7682 as
follows:
SECTION 5: Personnel Committee. The regular
meetings of the Personnel Committee of the City of
Vernon shall be held in the City Council Chamber at
the above -described location on the Tuesday

preceding the first (1st) and second (2"d) regularly
scheduled City Council meetings of every month at
the hour of 4:30 p.m. If said regular meetings are
scheduled on a recognized holiday, said meetings
shall then take place on the next day thereafter,
at the same time and place.
SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 7682, as
amended by Resolution No. 7961, shall remain in full force and effect,
and the provisions of said resolution not consistent with or in
conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
