2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF HENKELS AND
3 MCCOY, INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
4 NO. 555 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, Henkels and McCoy, Inc. was awarded Contract
6 No. 555 for the Removal and Reinstallation of Failed Couplings
7 pursuant to Resolution No. 7822 of the City of Vernon; and
8 WHEREAS,, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community
9 Services and Water has reported to the City Council of the City
10 of Vernon on June 11,.2003 that said work has been completed and
11 recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
12 Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
15 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
16 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
17 hereinabove are true and correct.
18 SECTION 2: The work of Henkels and McCoy, Inc.
19 pursuant to Contract No. 555 is hereby approved and accepted by
20 the City Council of the City of Vernon.
21 SECTION 3: The total contract amount is One
22 Million Five Hundred Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Five -Two
23 Dollars and Fifty-nine cents ($1,517,552.59).
24 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
25 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Henkels and
26 McCoy, Inc. and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of
27 completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
