RESOLUTION NO.8282
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF SIGNAL
MAINTENANCE, INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 559 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Signal Maintenance, Inc. was awarded Contract No. 559 for Traffic
Signal Modernization pursuant to Resolution No. 8001 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community Services and Water
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on September 10, 2003 that said work has
been completed and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby finds and
determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The work of Signal Maintenance, Inc. pursuant to Contract No.
559 is hereby approved and accepted by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total contract amount is One Hundred Five Thousand Two
Dollars and no cents ($105,002.00). Therefore, of the funds due to Signal Maintenance, Inc.
Ninety Four Thousand Five Hundred One Dollars and Eighty cents ($94,501.80) are now due.
The remaining ten percent (10%) or the sum of Ten Thousand Five Hundred One Dollars and
Twenty cents ($10,501.20) is payable thirty-five days after the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of
said sums as set forth to Signal Maintenance, Inc. and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of
completion with the County Recorder.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage of
this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
