RESOLUTION NO. 8365
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR
MEETINGS OF THE PUBLIC BENEFITS RESOURCE COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2.5-5 of the Code of the
City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and place of regular
meetings of committees or commissions of the City of Vernon shall be
established by resolution; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1097 adopted on January
17, 2004, the City Council of the City of Vernon amended the Vernon
City Code to establish a Public Benefits Resource Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
establish the time and place of regular meetings of the Public Benefits
Resource Committee Section of the City Council of the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: Public Benefits Resource Committee Section.
Effective February 7, 2004, the regular meetings of the Public Benefits
Resource Committee Section of the City Council shall be held in the
City Council Chamber at the City of Vernon, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
Vernon, California on the first (1st) and third (3rd) Wednesday of each
month at the hour of 6:15 p.m., or as soon thereto as the City Council
of the City of Vernon recesses the Industrial Development Authority
meeting, to be called to order by the Chairman. If a regularly

scheduled meeting of the City Council is adjourned to another date
and/or time, the meeting of the Public Benefits Resources Committee
Section shall be deemed continued by the same action.
SECTION 3: Bruce V. Malkenhorst is hereby appointed as the
Secretary of the Public Benefits Resource Committee Section and is
authorized to exercise all of the duties granted by the City Council.
The Mayor of the City Council shall serve as the Chairman of the Public
Benefits Resource Committee Section and the Mayor Pro Tem of the City
Council shall serve as the Chairman Pro Tem of the Public Benefits
Resource Committee Section.
SECTION 4: The members to serve on the Public Benefits
Resource Committee Section shall be all the members of the City
Council.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
