RESOLUTION NO. 8530
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8473 BY AMENDING
SCHEDULE II (EXHIBIT "B"), PAGES 13 AND 15 OF SAID
RESOLUTION WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED
CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, on June 30, 2004, Resolution No. 8473 was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1,
2004; and
WHEREAS, on September 1, 2004, the Finance Committee
considered the recommendation of Bruce V. Malkenhorst, the Director of
Finance, dated August 26, 2004, that salary adjustments in the City
Administrator/City Clerk Department be made; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
amend pages 13 and 15 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No.
8473 to eliminate the position of Asst. City Clerk in the City
Administrator/City Clerk Department and implement a change to the
position of Office Manager with the appropriate salary scale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: Effective September 5, 2004, Schedule II,
Exhibit "B," pages 13 and 15 of Resolution No. 8473 is hereby amended
to eliminate the position of Asst. City Clerk and implement changes
to position of Office Manager in the City Administrator/City Clerk
Department as indicated in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and
incorporated by this reference.
SECTION 3: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 8473 and 8517
not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No. 8473, as amended by
Resolution No. 8517, shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
