A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8473 BY AMENDING
SCHEDULE II (EXHIBIT "B") OF SAID RESOLUTION WHICH
4 FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF
SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE
5 ALLOWANCES

7 WHEREAS, on. June 30, 2004, Resolution No. 8473 was adopted
8 by the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1,
9 2004; and
10 WHEREAS, on December 1, 2004, the -Finance —Committee
11 recommended certain title changes in the City Administrator/City Clerk
12 Department effective December 1, 2004; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
14 amend page 16A of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 8473 to
15 change the titles of Deputy City Attorney and Assistant to City
16 Attorney in the City Administrator/City Clerk Department to Chief
17 Deputy City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney, respectively.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
19 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
20 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
21 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
22 and correct.
23 SECTION 2: Effective December 1, 2004, Schedule II,
24 Exhibit "B," page 16A of Resolution No. 8473 is hereby amended to
25 change the titles of Deputy City Attorney and Assistant to City
26 Attorney to Chief Deputy City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney in
27 the City Administrator/City Clerk Department as indicated in Exhibit A
28 which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference.

SECTION 3: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 8473, 8517
8530 and 8594 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution
are hereby repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No. 8473, as
amended by Resolution No. 8517, 8530 and 8594 shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
