A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8473 BY AMENDING
SCHEDULE III (EXHIBIT "C") OF SAID RESOLUTION
WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES
OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE
ALLOWANCES

7 WHEREAS, on June 30, 2004, Resolution No. 8473 was adopted
8 by the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1,
9 2004; and
10 WHEREAS, on January 19, 2005, the Finance Committee
11 recommended that an automobile allowance be established for the
12 position of Systems Manager in the Light & Power Department effective
13 January 23, 2005; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
15 amend Schedule III, Exhibit "C" of Resolution No. 8473 to establish an
16 automobile allowance for the position of Systems Manager in the Light
17 & Power Department.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
19 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
21 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
22 and correct.

SECTION 2:
Effective January 23, 2005, Schedule III,
24 Exhibit "c" of Resolution No. 8473 is hereby amended to establish an
25 automobile allowance for the Systems Manager in the Light & Power
26 Department as indicated in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and
27 incorporated by this reference.

SECTION 3:
The provisions of Resolution Nos. 8473, 8517
2 8530, 8594 and 8613 not consistent with or in conflict with this
3 resolution are hereby repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No.
4 8473, as amended by Resolution No. 8517, 8530, 8594 and 8613 shall
5 remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
7 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
8 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of January, 2005.
