A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8473 BY AMENDING
PAGE 15 OF SCHEDULE II (EXHIBIT "B") OF SAID
RESOLUTION WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED
CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

7 WHEREAS, on June 30, 2004, Resolution No. 8473 was adopted
8 by the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1,
9 2004; and
10 WHEREAS, on February 2, 2005, the Personnel Committee
11 considered a recommendation that the position of Administrative Legal
12 Assistant be created in the City Administrator/City Clerk Department
13 with the appropriate salary scale effective February 3, 2005; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
15 amend page 15 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 8473 to
16 create the position of Administrative Legal Assistant in the City
17 Administrator/City Clerk Department.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
19 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
21 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
22 and correct.

SECTION 2:
Effective February 3, 2005, page 15 of Schedule
24 II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 8473 is hereby amended to create the
25 position of Administrative Legal Assistant in the City Administrator/
26 City Clerk Department with the appropriate salary scale as indicated
27 in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

SECTION 3:
The provisions of Resolution Nos. 8473, 8517
2 8530, 8594, 8613 and 8644 not consistent with or in conflict with this
3 resolution are hereby repealed; in all other respects, Reso~ution No.
4 8473, as amended by Resolution No. 8517, 8530, 8594, 8613 and 8644
5 shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
7 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
8 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February, 2005.
