RESOLUTION NO. 8731

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7682 WHICH SET THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF CERTAIN
COMMITTEES AND COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VERNON

7 WHEREAS, in accordance with section 2.5-5 of the Code of the
8 City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and place of regular
9 meetings of committees or commissions of the City of Vernon shall be
10 established by resolution; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council established a regular schedule of
12 meetings of committees and commissions of the City of Vernon by
13 Resolution No. 7682, adopted December 19, 2000; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No.
15 7682 to change the time of the regular meetings of certain committees
16 and commissions.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
18 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
20 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
21 and correct.

SECTION 2:
Sections 3 through 4 below will take effect on
23 April 27, 2005.

SECTION 3:
The City Council hereby amends Section 4 of
25 Resolution No. 7682 as follows:

SECTION 4: Board of Library Trustees.

The regular meetings of the Board of Library
28
Trustees of the City of Vernon shall be held in

the City Council Chamber on the same day as
regular meetings of the City Council of the City
of Vernon at the hour of 4:30 p.m., or as soon
thereafter as the City Council adjourns the City

of Vernon regular City Council meeting. If a
regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council
is adjourned to another date and/or time, the
7
meeting of the Board of Library Trustees shall
be deemed continued by the same action.
SECTION 4:
In all other respects, Resolution No. 7682 shall
11 remain in full force and effect, and the provisions of said resolution
12 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
14
13 repealed.
SECTION 5:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
15 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
16 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
17 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of April, 2005.
