RESOLUTION NO. 8732

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8365 WHICH SET THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE PUBLIC
BENEFITS RESOURCE COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2.5-5 of the Code of the
7 City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and place of regular
8 meetings of committees or commissions of the City of Vernon shall be
9 established by resolution; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8365 on
11 February 18, 2004, establishing a regular schedule of meetings of the
12 Public Benefits Resources Committee ("PBRC"); and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No.
14 8365 to change the time of the regular meetings of the PBRC.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
16 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
18 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
19 and correct.

SECTION 2:
Effective April 27, 2005, the City Council of
21 the City of Vernon hereby amends Section 2 of Resolution No. 8365 as
22 follows:

SECTION 2: Public Benefits Resource Committee
Section. The Public Benefits Resource Committee
meetings shall be held on the same day as
regular meetings of the City Council of the City
27
of Vernon at the hour of 4:20 p.m., or as soon
28
thereafter as the City Council adjourns the City

of Vernon regular City Council meeting. If a
regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council
is adjourned to another date and/or time, the
meeting of the PBRC shall be deemed continued by
the same action.
SECTION 3:
In all other respects, Resolution No. 8365 shall
7 remain in full force and effect, and the provisions of said resolution
8 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
9 repealed.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
11 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
12 the same shall be in full force and effect.
