A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON REAPPOINTING HILARIO GONZALES AND WILLIAM J.
DAVIS TO SERVE AS TRUSTEES ON THE BOARD OF LIBRARY
TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18910 of the Education Code and

Section 2.34 of the Vernon City Code, Trustees serving on the Board of

Library Trustees shall be appointed by the Mayor by and with the
consent of the City Council; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8011 adopted by the City
11
Council of the City of Vernon on June 26, 2002, the terms of Hilario
12
Gonzales and William J. Davis serving on the Board of Library Trustees
will expire on June 30, 2005; and
13
14
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
15
16
Vernon intend to reappointment Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis
to the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three (3) years.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
20 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
21 and correct.

SECTION 2:
Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City of Vernon,
23 hereby reappoints Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis to serve as
24 Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees effective July 1, 2005
25 through June 30, 2008, a full three (3) year term.

SECTION 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
27 approves and consents to Mayor Leonis C. Malburgls reappointment of
28 Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis to serve as Trustees on the

1 Board of Library Trustees for a term of three (3) years as hereinabove
2 recited.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
4 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 2005.
