RESOLUTION NO. 8826
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL THE CITY OF VERNON
PROVIDING FOR THE RECOGNITION OF CERTAIN SIGNATURES
AND FACSIMILE SIGNATURES ON WARRANTS ISSUED BY THE
CITY OF VERNON TO WITHDRAW FUNDS DEPOSITED BY THE
CITY OF VERNON IN ANY BANK ACCOUNT
7 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 5074 on
8 December 20, 1983, authorizing certain signatures to withdraw funds
9 for the City of Vernon; and
10 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has recently reorganized
11 its accounting and treasurer's departments; and
12 WHEREAS, it is intended to establish procedures to
13 permit the use of signatures in certain circumstances.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
15 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
That any of the following named persons are
17 hereby authorized to sign checks to withdraw funds for the City of
18 Vernon and the bank is hereby authorized to honor and pay any and all
19 checks so signed, including those drawn to the individual order of any
20 officer or person authorized to sign the same and to endorse for
21 deposit checks and drafts payable to the City of Vernon:
22 Leonis C. Malburg
23 Thomas A. Ybarra
24 Hilario "Larry" Gonzales
25 Sharon Duckworth
26 Rory Burnett

SECTION 2:
Facsimile signatures may be used for Hilario
28 "Larry" Gonzales and Thomas A. Ybarra if such facsimile specimens are

filed with the appropriate bank, except that in the event of such
facsimile signatures there must be one actual written signature
required to be affixed thereto.
SECTION 3: That a facsimile signature of Sharon Duckworth
or Thomas A. Ybarra is hereby authorized to be used for all payroll
warrants issued by the City of Vernon and the bank is hereby
authorized to honor and pay all warrants so signed including those
drawn to the individual order of Sharon Duckworth or Thomas A. Ybarra.
SECTION 4: Resolution No. 5074 and/or any other Resolutions
in conflict therewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

I, BRUCE V. MALKENHORST, JR., Acting City Clerk of the
City of Vernon, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution,
being Resolution No. 8826, was duly adopted by the City Council of
the City of Vernon at a regular meeting of the City Council duly
held on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, and thereafter was duly signed by
the Mayor Pro-Tern of the City of Vernon.
