RESOLUTION NO. 8829
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF
PCI IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 576
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, PCI was awarded Contract No. 576 for the Citywide Traffic Lane
Striping 2004-2005 pursuant to Resolution No. 8581 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community Services and Water
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on August 10,2005 that said work has
been completed and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
Contractor in accordance with the agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby finds and
15
determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The work of PC I pursuant to Contract No. 576 is hereby approved
and accepted by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total expended amount is Twenty Nine Thousand Five
Hundred Twenty Seven Dollars and Fifty-Nine cents ($29,527.59). Therefore, ofthe funds due
to PCI Twenty Six Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Four Dollars and Eighty-Three cents
($26,574.83) is now due. The remaining ten percent (10%) or the sum of Two Thousand Nine
Hundred FiftyTwo Dollars and Seventy-Six cents ($2,952.76) is payable thirty-five days after
the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of
said sums as set forth to PCI and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of completion with the
County Recorder.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of V ernon shall certify to the passage of
this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
