A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING MANUEL GARCIA TO THE POSITION OF
ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
7 considered the reorganization of the Light and Power and the City
8 Administrator/City Clerk Departments; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds and
10 determines that it is necessary to establish an Assistant Finance
11 Director position in the Finance Division of the City Administrator/
12 City Clerk Department to enhance the operation of the department; and
13 WHEREAS, the City desires to appoint Manuel Garcia as the
14 Assistant Finance Director in the Finance Division of the City
15 Administrator/City Clerk Department effective September 22, 2005.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
17 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
19 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
20 and correct.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
22 approves the establishment of an Assistant Finance Director position
23 within the Finance Division of the City Administrator/City Clerk
24 Department and hereby appoints Manuel Garcia to fill said position
25 effective September 22, 2005.

SECTION 3:
The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
2 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 2005.
