A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING RORY BURNETT TO THE POSITION OF
FINANCE DIRECTOR AND DONAL O'CALLAGHAN TO THE
POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF LIGHT & POWER
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon ,has
8 considered the reorganization of the Light and Power and the City
9 Administrator/City Clerk Departments; and
10 WHEREAS, on April 13, 2005, the City Council of the City of
11 Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8699 which, among other things, appointed
12 Rory Burnett the Acting Finance Director; and
13 WHEREAS, on June 29, 2005, the City Council of the City of
14 Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8790, as amended by Resolution No. 8802
15 on July 12, 2005, which, among other things, appointed Donal
16 O'Callaghan the Acting Director of Light & Power; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Rory Burnett,
18 the current Acting Finance Director, to the position of Finance
19 Director, effective September 21, 2005; and
20 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Donal
21 O'Callaghan, the current Acting Director of Light & Power, to the
22 position of Director of Light & Power, effective September 21, 2005.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
24 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
26 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
27 and correct.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

1 appoints Rory Burnett to serve as the Finance Director of the City of
2 Vernon and Donal O'Callaghan to serve as the Director of Light & Power
3 effective September 21, 2005.

SECTION 3:
The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
5 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
6 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 2005.
