RESOLUTION NO. 8967
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACTING CITY
CLERK OR THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO REPORT
EVIDENCE OF SUSPECTED VOTER FRAUD AND OTHER
SUSPECTED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY TO THE LOS ANGELES
DISTRICT ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is scheduled for
Tuesday, April 11, 2006, to fill three vacancies on the City Council
of the City of Vernon for the full term of four years; and
WHEREAS, the Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon has
received nomination papers from individuals purporting to be lawful
residents and registered voters within the City boundaries; and
WHEREAS, after a preliminary investigation the Acting City
Clerk believes there is enough evidence to suggest that certain
parties and co-conspirators have taken overt actions to perpetuate
voter fraud and other criminal activity within the City limits; and
WHEREAS, the Acting City Clerk and the City Attorney request
authority to present the preliminary findings of suspected voter fraud
and other suspected criminal activity to the Los Angeles County
District Attorney's Office and/or an appropriate law enforcement
lagency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
land correct.
SECTION 2: The Acting City Clerk and the City Attorney may

present their preliminary findings regarding the attempted voter fraud
within the City to any appropriate law enforcement agency.
SECTION 3: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
