A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF
J & G INDUSTRIES INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 594 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, J & G Industries Inc. was awarded Contract No. 594 for the
I I Demolition of City Owned Auxiliary Shed and Associated Structures at 2301 Vernon Avenue
pursuant to Resolution No. 8798 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community Services and Water
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on March 7, 2006 that said work has been
completed and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the Contractor in
accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby finds and
determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The work of J & G Industries Inc. pursuant to Contract No. 594 is
hereby approved and accepted by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total expended amount is Twenty Four Thousand Nine
Hundred Ninety Nine Dollars and no cents ($24,999.00). Therefore, of the funds due to J & G
Industries Inc. Twenty Two Thousand Four Hundred Ninety Nine Dollars and Ten cents
($22,499.10) is now due. The remaining ten percent (10%) or the sum of Two Thousand Four
Hundred Ninety Nine Dollars and Ninety cents ($2,499.90) is payable thirty-five days after the
adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of
said sums as set forth to J & G Industries Inc. and instructs the Acting City Clerk to file a notice
of completion with the County Recorder.
SECTION 5: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the

passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
