3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
4 EXTENSIONS TO LISTING AGREEMENTS BY AND BETWEEN THE
CITY OF VERNON AND CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD

6 WHEREAS, on September 7, 2005, the City Council of the City
7 of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8843 approving three listing
8 agreements with Cushman & Wakefield of California, Inc. ("Cushman &
9 Wakefield") for properties located at 4900 Bandini Boulevard, 3250 E.
10 Washington Boulevard and 2301 E. Vernon Avenue in the City of Vernon;
11 and
12 WHEREAS, the property located at 4900 Bandini Boulevard in
13 the City of Vernon has been sold; and
14 WHEREAS, the listing for properties located at 3250 E.
15 Washington Boulevard and 2301 E. Vernon Avenue in the City of Vernon
16 (collectively, the "Properties") expires on March 13, 2006, unless
17 extended; and
18 WHEREAS, City staff have recommended that the listing with
19 Cushman & Wakefield for the Properties be extended to September 13,
20 2006; and
21 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
22 determined that, pursuant to the provisions of subsection (a) of
23 Section 2.27 of the Vernon City Code, it is in the public interest
24 and necessity to enter into listing extensions with Cushman &
25 Wakefield.
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
27 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
28 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves two listing extensions, a copy of which are attached hereto
as Exhibit A (3250 E. Washington Boulevard) and Exhibit B (2301 E.
Vernon Avenue) and incorporated by reference.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor to execute said extensions for, and on behalf of,
the City of Vernon and the Acting City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest thereto.
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs the Acting City Clerk, or his designee, to send one fully
executed listing extensions for each of the Properties to:
Cushman & Wakefield of California, Inc.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
