RESOLUTION NO. 8994
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON RESCINDING RESOLUTION NOS. 8954, 8955, 8956
AND 8957 RELATING TO APPOINTMENTS TO CITY COUNCIL
OFFICES AND CANCELLATION OF ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 2006
WHEREAS, on February 1, 2006, the City Council of the City
of Vernon adopted Resolution Nos. 8954, 8955, 8956 and 8957 relating
to the appointment of Leonis C. Malburg, Thomas A. Ybarra and William
McCormick to City Council offices and cancellation of election to be
held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Vernon intends to rescind
Resolution Nos. 8954, 8955, 8956 and 8957.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
rescinds Resolution Nos. 8954, 8955, 8956 and 8957 adopted on
February 1, 2006, relating to the appointment of Leonis C. Malburg,
Thomas A. Ybarra and William McCormick to City Council offices and
cancellation of election to be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs the Acting City Clerk to notify the Los Angeles County
Registrar of Voters of the reinstatement of the election.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
