A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8473, AS REAFFIRMED
AND AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 8780, BY AMENDING
4 SECTION 21 AND PAGES 4, 5, 13, 14 and 15 OF
SCHEDULE II (EXHIBIT "B") OF SAID RESOLUTION WHICH
5 FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF
6 SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE
ALLOWANCES

8 WHEREAS, on June 30, 2004, Resolution No. 8473 was adopted
9 by the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1,
10 2004; and
11 WHEREAS, on June 29, 2005, Resolution No. 8780 was adopted
12 by the City Council of the City of Vernon reaffirming and amending
13 Resolution No. 8473 to be effective on July 1, 2005; and
14 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 9003, the City Council of the
15 City of Vernon intends to create the position of Capital Project
16 Administrator in the Light & Power Department and to appoint the
17 Assistant City Attorney to act in such capacity with no increase in
18 compensation; and
19 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
20 (i) eliminate the positions of Assistant Finance Director and
21 Financial Risk Manager within the City Administrator/City Clerk
22 Department; (ii) transfer the positions of Gas & Procurement Manager,
23 Resource Scheduler and Associate Resource Scheduler from the City
24 Administrator/City Clerk Department to the Light & Power Department;
25 (iii) create the positions of Power and Gas Procurement Supervisor and
26 Power and Gas Trading Manager in the Light & Power Department; and
27 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
28 amend Section 2.1 of the Resolution and pages 4, 5, 13, 14 and 15 of

Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 8473, as reaffirmed and
amended, to implement the aforementioned changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
amends Section 21 of Resolution No. 8473, as reaffirmed and amended,
to add subsection a (4) to said Section to read as follows:
(4) Assistant City Attorney.
The Assistant City Attorney in the Office
of the City.Attorney/Public Prosecutor
Division of the City Administrator/City Clerk
Department shall also serve as the Capital
Project Administrator in the Light & Power
Department.
SECTION 3: Effective April 5, 2006, pages 4, 5, 13, 14 and
15 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No. 8473, as reaffirmed
and amended, are hereby amended to (i) eliminate the positions of
Assistant Director of Finance and Financial Risk Manager in the City
Administrator/City Clerk Department, (ii) create the positions of
Power and Gas Procurement Supervisor and Power and Gas Trading Manager
within the Light & Power Department, and (iii) transfer the positions
of Power and Gas Procurement Manager, Resource Scheduler and Associate
Resource Scheduler from the City Administrator/City Clerk Department
to the Light & Power Department with the appropriate salary scales as
indicated in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated by

SECTION 4: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 8473, 8517
8530, 8594, 8613, 8644, 8659, 8690, 8780, 8822, 8831 and 8859 not
consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No. 8473, as amended by
Resolution Nos. 8517, 8530, 8594, 8613, 8644, 8659, 8690, 8780, 8822,
8831 and 8859 shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
