RESOLUTION NO. 9136
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING APPENDIX NO. 1 OF RESOLUTION NO.
4733, AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NOS. 5255, 5478,
5505, 5853, 5923, 6858, 8074 AND 8542, WHICH
ADOPTED A CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE THAT
INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE THE STANDARD MODEL
CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE OF THE FAIR POLITICAL
PRACTICES COMMISSION
WHEREAS, on June 17, 1980, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 4733, which provided for a Conflict of
Interest Code that incorporated by reference the standard model
Conflict of Interest Code of the Fair Political Practices Commission;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution Nos. 5255, 5478, 5505, 5853, 5923, 6858,
8074 and 8542 adopted on March 18, 1986, March 15, 1988, April 26,
1988, November 20, 1990, May 7, 1991, October 1, 1996, October 9,
2002, and October 6, 2004, respectively, amended Resolution No. 4733,
including Appendix No. 1 thereof; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Sections 87306
and 87306.5, the Conflict of Interest Code has been reviewed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has deleted,
added and/or modified certain job titles and wishes to amend its
Conflict of Interest Code to reflect current positions for designated
employees required to report financial interests under designated
disclosure categories; and
WHEREAS, City staff have recommended that the Conflict of
Interest Code be amended.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
amends Appendix No. 1 of Resolution No. 4733, as amended by Resolution
Nos. 5255, 5478, 5505, 5853, 5923, 6858, 8074 and 8542, as set forth
in Appendix No. 1 which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a
part hereof.
SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution Nos. 4733,
5255, 5478, 5505, 5853, 5923, 6858, 8074 and 8542 shall remain in full
force and effect and the provisions in Resolution Nos. 4733, 5255,
5478, 5505, 5853, 5923, 6858, 8074 and 8542 not consistent with or in
conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

* With respect to the City Council Members, the City
Administrator, the City Treasurer and the City Attorney, disclosures
