RESOLUTION NO. 9138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING RESOLUTION NO. IDA-15 WHICH
APPROVES AN AMENDMENT TO APPENDIX NO. 1 OF
RESOLUTION NO. IDA-5, AS AMENDED, FOR THE CONFLICT
OF INTEREST CODE OF THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. IDA-5, adopted August 30, 1994,
the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Vernon
("Authority") approved a Conflict of Interest Code (the "Code") and
submitted the code to the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant
to Sections 87300, et seq. of the California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6505, adopted August 30, 1994,
the City Council found that the Code submitted by the Authority met
the criteria of California Government Code Section 87302, and approved
the Code for the Authority; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. IDA-8, adopted October 1, 1996,
the Authority approved an amendment to Appendix No. 1 of Resolution No.
IDA-5 and submitted the amendment to the City Council of the City of
Vernon pursuant to Sections 87300, et sec.. of the California Government
Code; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6860, adopted October 1, 1996,
the City Council found that the amendment to the Code submitted by the
Authority met the criteria of California Government Code Section
87302, and approved the amendment to the Code for the Authority; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. IDA-9, adopted October 9, 2002,
the Authority approved an amendment to Appendix No. 1 of Resolution No.
IDA-8 and submitted the amendment to the City Council of the City of

Vernon pursuant to Sections 87300, et seq. of the California Government
JjCode; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 8076, adopted October 9, 2002,
the City Council found that the amendment to the Code submitted by the
Authority met the criteria of California Government Code Section
87302, and approved the amendment to the Code for the Authority; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. IDA-11, adopted October 6, 2004,
the Authority approved an amendment to Appendix No. 1 of Resolution
No. IDA-9 and submitted the amendment to the City Council of the City
of Vernon pursuant to Sections 87300, et sere . of the California
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 8562, adopted October 6, 2004,
the City Council found that the amendment to the Code submitted by the
Authority met the criteria of California Government Code Section
87302, and approved the amendment to the Code for the Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Authority has submitted for approval Resolution
No. IDA-15 which approves an amendment to Appendix No. 1 of Resolution
No. IDA-11 to delete, add and/or modify certain positions as
designated employees required to report financial interests under
designated disclosure categories and submit the amendment to the City
Council of the City of Vernon for its approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The Amendment to Appendix No. 1 of Resolution
Nos. IDA-5, IDA-8, IDA-9 and IDA-11 for the Conflict of Interest Code

of the Authority submitted by the Authority and provided for in
Resolution No. IDA-15 is hereby approved.
SECTION 3: The Conflict of Interest Code is deemed amended
by the Authority pursuant to Sections 87303, 87306 and 87306.5 of the
California Government Code.
SECTION 4: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
