RESOLUTION NO. 9142
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9089 BY AMENDING
SECTION 25 OF SAID RESOLUTION WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY
AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2006, Resolution No. 9089 was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1,
2006 (the "Salary Resolution"); and
WHEREAS, subsection e(2)(a) of Section 25 of the Salary
Resolution provides for per meeting attendance allowances for Council
members attending certain meetings of two (2) hours or less; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Section 25 of the
Salary Resolution by amending subsection e(2)(a) to revise the per
meeting attendance allowances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
amends subsection e(2)(a) of Section 25 of the Salary Resolution as
follows:

(2) Attendance Allowance.
(a) To each Council member a per meeting
attendance allowance for the following meetings and/or other required
or miscellaneous meetings or negotiations when the Council member
devotes two (2) hours or less, including travel time for said
meetings, shall be paid as follows:

SECTION 3: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 9089, 9106,
9120 and 9129 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution
are hereby repealed; in all other respects, Resolution No. 9089, as
amended by Resolution Nos. 9106, 9120 and 9129, shall remain in full
force and effect.

1 SECTION 4: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
2 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
