RESOLUTION NO. 9147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7682 WHICH SET THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF CERTAIN
COMMITTEES AND COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH
WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 2.5-4 and 2.5-5 of the
Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and place of
regular meetings of committees or commissions of the City of Vernon
shall be established by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council established a regular schedule of
meetings of committees and commissions of the City of Vernon by
Resolution No. 7682, adopted on December 19, 2000; and
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2002, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 7961 amending Resolution No. 7682
pertaining to regular meetings of the Finance Committee; and
WHEREAS, on February 19, 2003, the City Council of the City
of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8161 amending Resolution No. 7682
pertaining to regular meetings of the Personnel Committee; and
WHEREAS, on August 3, 2005, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8825 amending Resolution No. 7682
pertaining to regular meetings of the Finance and Personnel Committees;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No.
7682, as amended, to change the time of the regular meetings of the
Personnel Committee and to repeal all resolutions in conflict
therewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: Effective October 4, 2006, the City Council of
the City of Vernon hereby amends Section 5 of Resolution No. 7682, as
amended, as follows:
SECTION 5: Personnel Committee. The regular
meetings of the Personnel Committee of the City
of Vernon shall be held in the City Council
Chamber located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in the
City of Vernon on the second and fourth Tuesday
of each month at the hour of 4:00 p.m., or as
soon thereafter as the City Council adjourns
the City of Vernon regular Finance Committee
meeting. If said regular meetings are
scheduled on a recognized holiday, said
meetings shall then take place on the next day
thereafter, at the same time and place.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions not
consistent with or in conflict with this Resolution, specifically
Resolution Nos. 7682, 7961, 8161 and 8825, are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
