RESOLUTION NO. 9178
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING ERIC T. FRESCH TO SERVE AS THE
ACTING CITY ADMINISTRATOR OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 9003
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 9177 adopted on December 13,
2006, the City Council of the City of Vernon approved an Amendment
Number One to Amended and Restated Employment Agreement (the
"Amendment") with Eric T. Fresch ("Fresch"); and
WHEREAS, said Amendment provides that effective December 13,
2006, Fresch will serve as the Acting City Administrator of the City of
Vernon as well as the Assistant City Attorney I pursuant to the
Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint Fresch to serve as the Acting City Administrator of the City of
Vernon and the Assistant City Attorney I of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, on April 5, 2006, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9003 creating the position of Capital
Project Administrator to supervise the operation of the Light & Power
Department until such time as a City Administrator was appointed; and
WHEREAS, with the appointment of Fresch as the Acting City
Administrator, the position of Capital Project Administrator is
unnecessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
(finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true

and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
repeals Resolution No. 9003.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Eric T. Fresch to serve as the Acting City Administrator of
the City of Vernon and the Assistant City Attorney I of the City of
Vernon and compensation for said services shall be paid pursuant to
the Amended and Restated Employment Agreement dated July 1, 2005, as
amended.
SECTION 4: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
