RESOLUTION NO. 9180
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING JEFF HARRISON TO SERVE AS THE
ACTING CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 9179 adopted on December 13,
2006, the City Council of the City of Vernon approved an Amendment
Number One to Amended General Counsel Agreement (the "Amendment") with
Karns & Karabian ("K&K"); and
WHEREAS, said Amendment provides that the title of Chief
Assistant City Attorney shall be changed to Acting City Attorney and
that Jeffrey A. Harrison ("Harrison") will serve as the Acting City
Attorney pursuant to the Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint Harrison to serve as the Acting City Attorney of the City of
Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Jeffrey A. Harrison to serve as the Acting City Attorney of
the City of Vernon and compensation for said services shall be paid
pursuant to the Amended General Counsel Agreement dated August 3,
2005, as amended.

SECTION 3: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
