RESOLUTION NO. 9210
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8365 WHICH SET THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE PUBLIC
BENEFITS RESOURCE COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 8740
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2.5-5 of the Code of the
City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and place of regular
meetings of committees or commissions of the City of Vernon shall be
established by resolution; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1128, the City Council has
amended the Code of the City of Vernon to change the dates and times
for the regular City Council meetings from the first and third
Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. to the first and third Monday of
each month at 10:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8365 on
February 18, 2004, establishing a regular schedule of meetings of the
Public Benefits Resources Committee ("PBRC"); and
WHEREAS, on May 18, 2005, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8740, amending the regular schedule of
meetings of the PBRC; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No.
8365 to change the dates and times of the regular meetings of the PBRC
and to repeal Resolution No. 8740.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true

and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
repeals Resolution No. 8740.
SECTION 3: Effective February 2, 2007, the City Council of
the City of Vernon hereby amends Section 2 of Resolution No. 8365 as
follows:
SECTION 2: Public Benefits Resource Committee
Section. The Public Benefits Resource Committee
meetings shall be held on the same day as
regular meetings of the City Council of the City
of Vernon at the hour of 10:00 a.m., or as soon
thereafter as the City Council adjourns the City
of Vernon regular Vernon Historic Preservation
Society meeting. If a regularly scheduled
meeting of the City Council is adjourned to
another date and/or time, the meeting of the
Public Resources Committee Section shall be
deemed continued by the same action.
SECTION 4: In all other respects, Resolution No. 8365 shall
remain in
full force and effect, and the provisions of said resolution
not
consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
repealed.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
