RESOLUTION NO. 9218
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING MANUELA GIRON AS THE ACTING CITY
CLERK AND KRISTEN ENOMOTO AS THE ACTING DEPUTY CITY
CLERK
WHEREAS, on July 19, 2006, the City Council adopted Ordinance
No. 1121 providing, in part, for the appointment of a City Clerk by
resolution; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1121 became effective on August 19,
2006; and
WHEREAS, on January 16, 2006, the Personnel Committee Section
of the City Council of the City of Vernon recommended the appointment
of Manuela Giron as the City's Acting City Clerk and Kristen Enomoto as
the City's Acting Deputy City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Manuela Giron to serve as the Acting City Clerk of the City
of Vernon from January 18, 2007, until such time as the City Council
appoints her the City Clerk, approves her removal or appoints another
person to said position.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Kristen Enomoto to serve as the Acting Deputy City Clerk of
the City of Vernon with no additional compensation from January 18,
2007, until such time as the City Council appoints her the Deputy City

Clerk, approves her removal or appoints another person to said
position.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, specifically Resolution Nos.
8790 and 8802 that appointed Bruce V. Malkenhorst, Jr., as the Acting
City Clerk.
SECTION 5: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
