A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9089 BY AMENDING
PAGE 13 OF SCHEDULE II (EXHIBIT B) OF SAID
4 RESOLUTION REGARDING THE COMPENSATION, COSTS AND
5 BENEFITS OF ITS EMPLOYEES
6 WHEREAS, on June 28, 2006, Resolution No. 9089 was adopted
7 by the City Council of the City of Vernon to be effective on July 1,
8 2006 (the "Salary Resolution"); and
9 WHEREAS, Schedule II, Exhibit "B," page 13 of the Salary
10 Resolution provides for positions and salary scales of positions
11 within the Light & Power Department; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
13 create the positions of Power Plant Performance Engineer and Power
14 Plant Instrument and Electrical and Distributive Control System
15 Engineer in the Light & Power Department with the appropriate salary
16 scales; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
18 amend page 13 of Schedule II (Exhibit B) of the Salary Resolution, as
19 amended, to implement the aforementioned changes.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
21 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
22 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
23 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
24 and correct.
25 SECTION 2: Effective March 18, 2007, page 13 of Schedule
26 II, Exhibit "B" of the Salary Resolution, as amended, is hereby
27 amended to create the positions of Power Plant Performance Engineer
28 and Power Plant Instrument and Electrical and Distributive Control

System Engineer in the Light & Power Department with the appropriate
salary scales as indicated in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference.
SECTION 3: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 9089, 9106,
9120, 9129, 9142, 91.67, 9181, 9207, 9215, 9227 and 9238 not consistent
with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed; in all
other respects, Resolution No. 9089, as amended by Resolution Nos.
9106, 9120, 9129, 9142, 9167, 9181, 9207, 9215, 9227, 9238 and 9252
shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of March, 2007.
