3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING JEFF A. HARRISON TO SERVE AS THE
4 CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, on December 13, 2006, the City Council of the City
7 of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9180 appointing Jeff A. Harrison
8 ("Harrison") to serve as the Acting City Attorney of the City of
9 Vernon
10 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 9259 adopted on March 5, 2007,
11 the City Council of the City of Vernon approved an Employment
12 Agreement with Harrison setting forth the terms and conditions under
13 which Harrison will perform City Attorney services for the City of
14 Vernon; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
16 appoint Harrison to serve as the City Attorney of the City of Vernon.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
18 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
19 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
20 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
21 and correct.
22 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
23 appoints Jeff A. Harrison to serve as the City Attorney of the City of
24 Vernon effective February 27, 2007, and compensation for said services
25 shall be paid pursuant to the Employment Agreement dated March 5,
26 2007.

SECTION 3: The Acting City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
