RESOLUTION NO. 9316
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY
SERVICES & WATER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDERS FOR
CAPITAL PROJECTS UNDER $25,000
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Services & Water directs
and manages various capital projects on behalf of the City; and
WHEREAS, in order to avoid unnecessary delays and incurring
additional costs, the Director of Community Services & Water has
requested authority to execute change orders for capital projects in an
amount not to exceed $25,000.00 without prior City Council approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves and authorizes the Director of Community Services & Water to
execute change orders for capital projects in an amount not to exceed
$25,000.00 on behalf of the City without prior City Council approval.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 2007.
