RESOLUTION NO. 9361
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON EXPRESSING ITS GRIEF AT THE PASSING OF JOSE LAO,
BROTHER OF WILLIAM DAVIS, MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AND OFFERING ITS CONDOLENCES
TO HIS SURVIVING FAMILY
WHEREAS, William Davis has served the City of Vernon as a member of the City Council
for over 25 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Davis' deep regard for his brother was well known to his friends and
colleagues; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon is struck with a sense of grief by the
passing of Jose Lao, brother of William Davis, on June 21, 2007.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SF.C'TT0N 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that
the recitals contained hereinabove are true and correct.
'FC'TTON 2: All the members of the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby express
their deep regret and sympathy at the passing of Jose Lao, brother of William Davis, and each member of
this Council extends its condolences to the surviving family of Jose Lao.
SFC'TTON 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage of this
resolution and present a copy thereof to William Davis, and that thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect..
