RESOLUTION NO. 9455
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON CLARIFYING THE POWERS, DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES'OF EMPLOYEES HOLDING DEPUTY
POSITIONS WITHIN THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
considered the powers, duties and responsibilities of employees within
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
clarify the powers, duties and responsibilities of employees holding
deputy positions within the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of. Vernon hereby
establishes that employees holding the position of deputy in the City,
including but not limited to the following positions: Deputy City
Treasurer, Deputy City Clerk, Deputy Director of Community Services,
Chief Deputy Director of Health & Environmental Control, Chief Deputy
City Attorney, and Deputy Director of Water Department shall, in the
absence of their director, have all the same powers, duties and
responsibilities of their respective director.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 2007.
