Resolution No. 9463` 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 9463 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF AA-1 SERVICES, INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 598 OF THE CITY OF VERNON WHEREAS, AA-1 Services, Inc. was awarded Contract No. 598 for the Elevated Tank Seismic Upgrade and Exterior Paint pursuant to Resolution No. 9040 of the City of Vernon; and WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community Services and Water has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on October 29, 2007 that said work has been completed and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true and correct. SECTION 2: The work of AA-1 Services, Inc. pursuant to Contract No. 598 is hereby approved and accepted by the City Council of the City of Vernon. SECTION 3: The total contract amount is Six Hundred Sixty - Seven Thousand Five Hundred Ninety Dollars and No Cents ($667,590.00). The Contractor has submitted a final invoice for Sixty -Two Thousand One Hundred Fourteen Dollars and Ninety -Eight Cents ($62,114.98), less a credit of Twenty -Three Thousand Seven Hundred Forty -Nine Dollars and Thirty -Eight Cents ($23,749.38) for additional City inspection costs. Therefore, of the funds due to AA-1 Services, Inc., Thirty -Eight 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Thousand Three Hundred Sixty -Five Dollars and Sixty Cents ($38,365.60) is now due. The remaining ten percent (100) or the sum of Sixty -Six Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty -Nine Dollars and No Cents ($66,759.00) is ,payable thirty-five days after the adoption of this resolution. SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to AA-1 Services, Inc. and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of completion with the County Recorder. SECTION 5 The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
