RESOLUTION NO. 9470
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING JEFF A. HARRISON TO SERVE AS THE
DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ROBERT J.
TOERING TO SERVE AS THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, on November 19, 2007, the City Council of the City
of Vernon adopted Ordinance No. 1138 creating the Industrial
Development Department; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1138 will be effective on
December 19, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint Jeff A. Harrison to serve as the Director of the Industrial
Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint Robert J. Toering to serve as the Assistant Director of the
Industrial Development Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Jeff A. Harrison to serve as the Director of Industrial
Development effective December 19, 2007, and compensation for said
services shall be paid pursuant to the Employment Agreement dated
November 19, 2007.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Robert J. Toering to serve as the Assistant Director of
Industrial Development effective December 19, 2007, and compensation
for said services shall be paid pursuant to the Employment Agreement
dated November 19, 2007. In the absence of the Director of Industrial
Development, the Assistant Director of Industrial Development shall
have all the same powers, duties and responsibilities of the Director.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 2007.
