RESOLUTION NO. 9490
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ESTABLISHING A COST OF LIVING SALARY
INCREASE FOR 2007-2008 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, on July 16, 2007, Resolution No. 9362 was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Vernon amending and restating
Salary Resolution No. 9342 to be effective on July 8, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
establish a cost of living salary increase for the 2007-2008 fiscal
year of 3.1% across the board, except for the following positions:
City Administrator/Assistant City Attorney I; City Attorney/Director
of Industrial Development/Legal Counsel; Assistant Director of
Industrial Development/Executive Director; Assistant City Attorney II;
and Director of Light & Power/Director of Gas Municipal Utility
Department
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
ICITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
establishes the cost of living salary increase for fiscal year 2007-
2008, to be 3.1% across the board, effective December 9, 2007,`except
for the following positions: City Administrator/Assistant City
Attorney I; City Attorney/Director of Industrial Development/Legal
Counsel; Assistant Director of Industrial Development/Executive
Director; Assistant City Attorney II; and Director of Light &
Power/Director of Gas Municipal Utility Department.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of December, 2007.
